The “Capitello” at the intersection in a small village of Valpolicella: a very old stone on which the figure of the Madonna is painted and which in the past was regarded by as a votive icon by the peasantry.

The Montresor family, impressed by the Terroir and the charm of this area, established a collaboration with almost all the peasant families of the Borgo to be able to buy their grapes. The relationship between the farmers and the Cantine Giacomo Montresor was so deep that it was said that Montresor came to have the Monopoly of these grapes.
